On Wednesday, November 13th, the ASCE OC Younger Member Forum (YMF) Mentor and Protégé pairs were officially revealed during the highly anticipated Mentorship Reveal and Kick-Off Event held virtually on Zoom.

It was a successful event where attendees were given a quick refresher on what to expect throughout the program, including general rules, expectations, and tips on how to make the most out of the experience.

The presentation, delivered by the Mentorship Committee Co-Chairs Don Vu, P.E., T.E., and Bhanu Karuturi, E.I.T., was conducted in an engaging format, with the co-chairs taking turns to present key information.

Following the presentation, participants who had been paired together were organized into breakout rooms. These sessions provided the opportunity for mentors and protégés to officially meet, discuss their goals, and establish follow-up check-ins tailored to their schedules. Attendees expressed their happiness with their pairings and shared their enthusiasm about the program.

To ensure the program's success, participants are encouraged to meet regularly - either in person or virtually - at least once a month to maintain consistent communication and build strong connections.

Looking ahead, the Mentorship Committee is excited to announce plans for a special Happy Hour Event in April 2025, exclusively for program participants. More details on this networking opportunity will be shared in the coming months.

For those interested in learning more about the program or with questions about mentorship opportunities, please contact the Mentorship Committee at mentorship@asceoc.org.

Looking forward to an inspiring year of collaboration, growth, and success!
