Design Challenge

Overview

ASCE Orange County is proud to present the first-ever ASCE Orange County Design Challenge! This new program was developed to inspire our ASCE Younger Members to think of innovative solutions for common problems in the civil engineering industry. Through this fun and engaging competition format, teams will have the opportunity to collaborate and respond to our Community Partner’s problem statement, present to an esteemed panel of judges, and compete for a grand prize!

The ASCE OC Design Challenge is a three-week multidisciplinary proposal-style event that will challenge and inspire Younger Members to create innovative solutions for current and future infrastructure challenges. ASCE Younger Members will form small teams of 3 to 5 members to compete and collaborate for the best innovative proposal that addresses a multidisciplinary Design Challenge prompt developed by our Community Partner!

A cohesive platform for Younger Members to explore and imagine the future of our industry and provide our Community Partners with potential solutions for implementation.

Design Challenge 2021
