Orange County Younger Member Forum motivates and encourages young professional engineers and engineering students to participate in our comprehensive and educational Program events. The overarching goal of Programs is to enhance technical and professional skills in order to develop young engineers of today and tomorrow.
Programs events will consist of relevant technical tours, presentations, webinars and speaker series. Due to the great success of the first OC YMF Younger Engineer Speaker (YES) series, we are looking forward to continue this tradition of providing opportunities to young engineers and students of Orange County to share their knowledge and lessons learned from recent engineering projects or to dissert on multidiscipline topics.
In addition, we are striving to organize joint events with other professional organizations and local universities. In the past, we have collaborated on events such as Technical Tour of Prado Dam (joint event with Orange County Geotechnical Institute). We plan on continuing this tradition and create new ones in order to expand the horizon of young engineering professionals and engineering students.
We are always looking for ideas or suggestions of technical presentations and tours that may benefit our fellow Orange County civil engineers. If you would like to get involved with Programs and be part of the reflection or simply send us a suggestion, please send your appreciated request at Katie Wood, Chuck K, and Tarun Patel at Programs@ymfoc.org.
