Ashlyn is a Road and Highway Engineer at Parsons Corporation in Irvine. She received her B.S. in Civil Engineering in December of 2016 from San Diego State University. She has been involved in NSBE, WTS, and ASCE throughout her college experience and career.
With a quick move to the OC, she recognized the need to join professional organizations in the area to succeed professionally and personally and OC YMF was an excellent way to get started! OC YMF is very welcoming and continues to make the organization feel like home. With her passion to serve, she is excited to serve as President and continue to grow OC YMF as the premier resource and organization for younger civil engineers in Orange County.
Gabreelle Gonzalez, P.E.

Gabreelle graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelor's in Civil Engineering in 2015. She currently works at the City of Anaheim as an Assistant Engineer for the Development Services.
Gabreelle began her involvement with OC YMF in 2015, post-graduation in the University Outreach Committee as the UC Irvine Liaison. Gabreelle enjoys providing support and resources to the student chapters, which is why she remained the University Outreach Chair up until 2021. She has now transitioned to President Elect and is looking forward to giving back to the organization on a broader scale. She appreciates the opportunities OC YMF has given her over the years, in which she has made many great friends, grew her network, learned about the industry, and grown both personally and professionally.

Melissa is a Capital Projects Coordinator at the Port of Long Beach. She received her B.S. in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona. Melissa has been involved with ASCE OC YMF since 2015 and has held various Board positions. She is currently serving on the ASCE OC Branch Professional Development Committee and is the Region 9 Younger Member Chair.
Melissa enjoys being involved with ASCE because she is continuously inspired by her peers. She is passionate about helping foster the growth of young professionals and students in addition to finding innovative ways to get ASCE OC more involved in the local community. Some of Melissa's favorite activities are beach bike rides, dog watching, and trying to keep her house plants alive.
Jess Gascon graduated from CSU Long Beach with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Jess currently works at WSP as a Civil Engineer working on highway and roadway design projects at the Orange office. Jess joined OC YMF to grow his professional network in ASCE and to grow as a professional in the Civil Engineering industry. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis and trying different activities/hobbies.

Gerardo (he/him/his) received her B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and is currently working at Mark Thomas as a Roadway Design Engineer. Gerardo joined ASCE OC YMF after graduating in 2019. ASCE has allowed Gerardo to meet like-minded individuals and form great new relationships.
In his free time, Gerardo likes to travel, explore new places, and discover new places to eat. He loves to share his travel experiences and photos in his social media. He also enjoys listening to new music and watching live broadway musicals.

Alexandra Dubrock, EIT, is the PE Review Committee Co-Chair and works with Contech Engineered Solutions as the Stormwater Consultant for South Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties. She provides both technical guidance and expertise regarding Contech’s Stormwater solutions to design engineers, regulatory agencies, and site owners. Graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Engineering with a concentration in Environmental Engineering from North Carolina State University, Alexandra has been assisting in Stormwater solution development with Contech Engineered Solutions since 2015. You can also find her hiking, training for Spartan races, and cosplaying during her free time.

Ashley Pham, E.I.T. is a recent graduate from the University of California, Irvine and a design engineer, working on pipeline design in the Tetra Tech Irvine office. During her time at UC Irvine, Ashley was a member of ASCE UCI and Engineers Without Borders, realizing the value of mentorship. She now serves as the UCI Liaison to empower and give students the same confidence and technical knowledge that was instilled in her.

Christopher earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from California State University, Fullerton and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree at his alma mater. While enrolled in the MBA program, Chris is employed by Caltrans. In these roles, he is able to contribute to his community as a young transportation professional and maintain a commitment to his education.
Christopher has been heavily involved in several engineering student organizations since his freshman year. His involvement with the ASCE student chapter in particular includes leading the CSUF Steel Bridge team for 2 years. As a graduate student and young professional, he remains an advisor to and supporter of the student clubs at CSUF.

Chuck is a Design Engineer at Mark Thomas. He is currently working on roadway, drainage and staging designs in the transportation office in Irvine. He also has four years of construction management experience with Caltrans roadway and staging work.
Chuck’s participation with OC YMF has exposed him to new leadership opportunities and professional growth throughout the years. One of Chuck's reasons to be part of OC YMF is to give back to the community he lives in through K-12 and other professional opportunities. Chuck is grateful to work with OC YMF which is comprised of outstanding and energetic individuals of similar interests who will become future leaders in the Civil Engineering industry.

Danny earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Cal State Long Beach and his M.S. in Water Recourse/Environmental Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona.
Danny is a Project Engineer at AECOM and is currently working on wastewater treatment plant design, hydraulic modeling, and wastewater conveyance projects. ASCE helped him achieve his goals as a student, and now he volunteers with ASCE OC YMF as a professional to give back and help the next generation of young engineers. He's passionate about helping people in need and volunteers as much as he can to improving his community.

Darlyn was heavily involved in ASCE at UC Irvine and joined YMF after graduating to continue her involvement. As a student herself, Darlyn saw the great benefit OC YMF provides to the students and is passionate about providing the same benefits and opportunities to the new generation of students. As the UCI Practitioner Darlyn strives to keep communication transparent between ASCE Society and the UCI Student Chapter as well as providing any guidance on navigating the Civil Engineering Industry to the student chapters. When she's not planning or hosting a University Outreach event, Darlyn enjoys going to Disneyland, traveling, and growing her plant collection from local vendors.

After attending her first meeting, she's ecstatic to collaborate with her fellow OC YMF colleagues in giving back to the community and be an advocate for the civil engineering industry.

Esmeralda received her B.S. in Civil Engineering from California State University, Long Beach, and is currently working at Jacobs as a Project Engineer in their Program & Construction Management Division. Esmeralda joined ASCE OC YMF in 2018 and is super excited to contribute to the Civil Engineering profession in her community. ASCE has provided Esmeralda with opportunities of personal and professional development, and the chance to meet so many driven, like-minded individuals, which she now calls friends. In her spare time, Esmeralda enjoys visiting museums, riding her bike, and exploring new places.

Frida is a Civil Analyst at Kimley-Horn in Orange, California. She received her B.S. in Civil Engineering from California State University, Fullerton in the Spring of 2018. She was involved with ASCE, Chi Epsilon, CalGeo, ITE and AGC during her college trajectory. She continues to remain involved with ASCE today in her career, serving as one of the OC YMF CSUF Student Liaisons since the Fall of 2018.
Frida’s involvement with OC YMF has allowed her to continue helping the Civil Engineering student community. As well as introduced her to a phenomenal group of determined, passionate, and inspiring like-minded younger members who have grown to become cherished friendships. Wanting to expand her knowledge of the industry, she joined OC YMF in hopes of growing professionally and personally. From the first day she joined, she always felt welcomed, and as a board member, she wants to contribute to OC YMF as much as she can. Her goal is to inspire people just how her mentors inspired her.
Guillermo (Memo) Medina

Memo is a Designer 2 in the Civil Engineering team at LPA, Inc in Irvine, CA. He graduated from UC Irvine in 2017 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Memo got involved with the ASCE student chapter at UCI where he finished his senior year serving as the club's Internal Vice President and as Steel Bridge Co-Project Manager. His focus now is serving as a Co-Chair for the K-12/PSBC Committee where he gets to work with (and hopefully inspire) the engineers of the future. Aside from ASCE and work, Memo spends his free time with his family and frequents Netflix as it is a staple in his life.

Jazzy Quinabo is a Project Engineer for the Program & Construction Management Group at Jacobs. She has five years of industry experience in the Transportation, Geotechnical Engineering, Pipeline Utilities, K-12 Master Planning, and Construction Management fields. She has been involved with ASCE OC YMF since 2014 and has served in various Executive Board & Committee Chair roles at both the YMF and Branch level.

Haley is a Project Engineer for KPFF in Irvine. She graduated from UC Irvine in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and specialization in Water Resources. During her time at UC Irvine, she held leadership positions in the ASCE student chapter and on the concrete canoe team.

Following graduation, Janelle continues bridging the gap between student chapters and professionals by serving as University Outreach Chair. Jared feels that ASCE has truly enriched his Academic, Professional, and personal life. He is interested in exploring the civil engineering field and sharing knowledge within the professional network. Javier Urías recently graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He currently works at WSP with the role of Assistant Engineer for the PMCM division. Javier was actively involved as a student with the ASCE CSUF student chapter, being President the academic year of 2018-2019. As CSUF Liaison, he wishes to continue being involved with ASCE as a professional working closely with OC YMF and the CSUF student chapter.
Javier joined OC YMF to integrate himself both socially and professionally with a network of passionate civil engineers. Joseph Huynh works at A3Geo, Inc., a woman-owned, top-tier geotechnical, geological, and seismic engineering firm based out of Berkeley, CA. His current role is QA/QC Oversight Field Engineer for various Dams and Levees throughout the greater Southern California Region.
Joseph enjoys his role in YMF as community service co-chair because he’s able to support the community-at-large, empower colleagues, and have a good time while doing it. In his free time, he reads, works out at the gym, and hangs out with family and friends.

JR was involved with ASCE OC Branch and YMF from 2015-2017 through a variety of programs and positions until he went to graduate school in Austin, TX. Now that he has come back to re-join the best group in the universe, JR wants to give back to the engineering community that helped propel his career. After realizing how active, engaged, and awesome this group was, she felt inspired to get more involved with ASCE OC through the Community Service Committee.

Luis Manzo received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from CSU Fullerton. He is an assistant engineer at GHD. While attending CSU Fullerton he was heavily involved with ASCE and became a concrete canoe paddler in his 1st year with ASCE then became the vice president of the club the following year. After attending the numerous professional/ social events that ASCE has to offer he realized how much he missed out by not joining the organization sooner. He does not intend to make that mistake again, he is going to continue to be involved with the organization and expand his network. He hopes to assist CSUF as their liaison/ practitioner advisor and help them in any way he can to make sure the student chapter runs smoothly and efficiently. And hopefully, in the process teach the students just how important it is to continue to be involve with ASCE even after graduation.

Actively involved in ASCE as a student, serving as the 2018-2019 CSULB Co-President, Marionne joined OC YMF to continue to make a difference in her community through civil engineering in hopes of building a brighter future for the next generation. Mathew is a licensed engineer and a Structural Project Manager at DCI Engineers in Irvine, California. He received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and his M.S. degree in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego. His project portfolio includes the structural design of commercial, office, retail, mixed-use, hospitality, residential, religious, and K-12 projects.
OC YMF has allowed Mathew to connect with passionate and supportive professionals, and to improve his communication an leadership skills. Outside of work, he enjoys podcasting and making YouTube videos about structural engineering.

Matthew is a Construction Manager for the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering. He currently works at the Hyperion Water Reclamation Plant in El Segundo overseeing the construction of various wastewater projects throughout the plant. He received his Master's in Environmental Engineering from the University of Southern California in 2018 with an emphasis on water quality.
Matthew is involved with the University Outreach team and would like to continue expanding his involvement in OC YMF. He enjoys having the opportunity of meeting with the future of this industry through University Outreach and sharing his knowledge and experience gained during his professional experience.

Michael is a student at heart that enjoys learning new things through experience and is passionate about promoting civil engineering as an ideal profession to the next generation of engineers. Since his days at CSULB, he has remained active in ASCE, by participating in the first ASCE OC YMF Pathways Academy and through leading the ASCE CSULB student chapter as the 2019-2020 Co-President. Natalie is a professionally licensed Civil Engineer in WSP's Orange, California office. She graduated in 2017 with a major in Civil Engineering and a minor in Management, Cum Laude. She joined WSP two years ago, after gaining design experience working on the California High-Speed Rail Project and various highway projects in the area. While at WSP, Natalie has been a vital roadway team member, working on major ExpressLanes projects, Multi-Asset projects, and Smart-Freeway studies. She is currently leading the design of the northbound direction of a 15-mile segment of the I-405 freeway. She is passionate about fostering a work environment that makes employees feel heard, inspired, and connected. Outside of work Natalie is a part-time yoga instructor and loves spending time outdoors with her dog.

Nathaniel is an Engineer at LADOT in DTLA working in traffic signal design and complete streets. He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering in May of 2021 from California State University, Long Beach. Nathaniel has been heavily involved in ASCE since his freshman year working on projects and outreach events. He now joins OC YMF as the CSULB liaison to provide guidance to students to succeed in the profession. In his free time, Nathaniel loves to try out new recipes, play pick-up basketball, and travel.

Raul obtained his B.S. in Civil Engineering from UCI where he was very involved with the ASCE Student Chapter. He currently works at HNTB as a roadway designer.
Whether it's playing arena soccer on Sundays, weight training, or boxing, Raul enjoys being active. But he could just as easily spend the weekend hanging out with family and friends to watch a movie or play a board game (Citadels is his favorite).

Sam Saldivar is a Junior Engineer for Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District and received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona. He was also actively involved in ASCE throughout college and was a part of the Concrete Canoe competition team.

Tyler graduated from UC Irvine with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and now works at Huitt-Zollars Inc. with the public works team. During his time at UC Irvine, Tyler was heavily involved with expanding his connections with students and faculty as a Resident Advisor in Student Housing.
Besides taking long walks on the beach, Tyler enjoys playing Quidditch, hanging out with friends, and baking desserts. He is excited to be a part of ASCE OC YMF and is ready to grow his network professionally and personally.

Victor Aguirre works at Huitt-Zollars, Inc. as a Civil Engineer-In-Training/ Project Engineer in the Urban Development and Water Resources Departments. He graduated from California State University, Long Beach, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He has had the privilege to work on various large and small residential developments, custom luxury homes, commercial developments, road inspections, an airport, and K-12 institutions. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, friends, watching sports (Go Lakers! Go Dodgers! and Go Packers!) and participating in ASCE events.
